In la piel ciega I investigate the invisibility of some territories that have disappeared or have been submerged by the waters of swamps or dams. Water becomes a binding element related, in this case, to beauty and destruction. It refers us to Stendhal's concept as a hypnotic and seductive image that invites us to contemplate and speculate with the meanings of its own matter.
The work is an installation made up of nine industrial turbines that drag with their power some plastic structures where images of spaces and territories are projected that are decomposing and destroyed as they collide with the structures made of plastics. The strong wind generated by the turbines also produces a deafening noise when colliding with the plastics. This noise, together with the projected images, also produce that hypnotic and transforming effect of the space that is wrapped in fragments distorted by the continuous projection of video.
The project was exhibited at the EUFONIC festival and at the Sthendal-Julio Antonio exhibition at the TARRAGONA MUSEUM OF MODERN ART.
